Hi there! It’s a snow day almost nationwide today, so I thought I would take this time to post again. It’s been almost a month since my last blog post, and I promised myself to start posting more in this new year :) 

Unfortunately, this account has been growing pretty slowly recently. I remember the first month after I started this account, I would get 5k+ views every week, but now I’m getting fewer than 1k. Not to say that I’m ungrateful in any way, but I truly think it’s interesting to see how Instagram’s algorithm works. I don’t think I’m shadowbanned or anything, I just don’t think Instagram is pushing my content out to the right audience. I’ve been thinking about rebranding/switching things up a bit, but with everything that’s going on in my life, I’ve found that a big move isn’t going to be sustainable. 

But anyway, enough of me complaining. I guess I am making a somewhat big move, because I’m planning on releasing my first youtube video soon! It will just be discussing Fenty Beauty’s business model through the lens of cosmetic chemistry. As a result, I don’t know/think I will be posting on Instagram as much, especially as it seems that I’ve been flopping recently :( But honestly, the numbers don’t really matter to me because I’m really just doing this for myself (evidenced by the fact that I don’t think anyone going to read this). If you are, then thank you so much! Please, do not be afraid to dm or reach out!

Finally, I also want to use this space to address the political environment that we are currently living in. I don’t want this to come off as performative/not proper advocacy, but frozen H2O has truly become more than just a thorn in the US’ side. It’s a poison that is killing and detaining the most innocent of lives, lives that are blamed as "threats" to national security. Rest in peace, Alex Pretti; you will be deeply missed.
